REFLECTION

Throughout my high school career, I have changed a lot. As a person that is, and how I view myself. I have made plenty of mistakes, accepted it, and learned from it. Even when I struggled the hardest with social situations during my junior year, I still put in honest effort into my classes and my art portfolio. I had from junior to mid senior year to put together a fine arts portfolio; this was difficult considering I had never taken a fine arts class in high school until my senior year. By November 2018, I turned in my portfolio to VCU arts ( the number 1 public art school in the country) and I got in. I honestly, did not think I was going to get in, but that shows that you can do anything you put your mind to. Not only did I get into VCU arts, but I got into VT as well. My senior year has been nothing but progress towards my future. On top of getting into both colleges I applied for I have been able to keep a 4.0 gpa or higher. I have never been more proud of myself; without my experiences and mistakes I would not be the person I am today. I believe my mistakes turned into valuable lessons that made me a better person.
