ABOUT ABBY CONRAD

I spent most of my childhood living in Fayetteville, West Virginia. This small town is known for venturing in the outdoors and being close to your neighbors. Although, my passion isn't nature; mine is art. The school I went to in West Virginia doesn’t have the best education, and it doesn’t have an art program. I moved to Virginia my freshman year, but I didn't figure out what I wanted to do as a career until my sophomore year when I took a Computer Graphics class. That class opened an unimaginable amount of doors for me thanks to the help of my art teacher (Mrs. Cubberley) and the group of people at my last internship. During my senior year, I took my first high school fine arts class where I made my portfolio for VCU arts. Most aspiring students take up to two years to make their portfolio, but I only had a year to make mine.  In March, 2019, I found out I was accepted admission to VCU, but I decided to stay closer to home and attend Virginia Tech. Now I am an excited soon to be student working a part-time job until the fall semester starts.
